If you'd like to create some special, hand made gifts for this year’s holiday season - we can help you with that!
Beginning November 2, Knits and Pieces will be offering semi-private Learn to Knit sessions. Structured in some ways like the classes in the past - but with new procedures in place to keep the students and instructor Covid-19 safe.
First, all classes will be held when the shop is not open. There will be no other individuals in the shop aside from the class participants and instructor.
The class size will be limited to 4 individuals (down from 6), and they will be settled into individual ‘knitting knook’ areas (chair, table) spaced at least 6 feet apart.
Masks must be worn at all times during class.
Beginning Knitting Classes are comprised of 4 2-hour sessions. Students will learn the fundamental knitting skills - casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, and casting off stitches - while completing a washcloth. Using those skills, they will start a second project of their choosing, with the guidance of the instructor. “Learn to Knit” TKGA booklet, cotton yarn, and circular bamboo needles are included in the price of the class.
Classes are Mondays, 5-7 pm, November 9, 16, 23, and 30
Classes are limited to 4 students. Supplies needed include DK/Worsted weight yarn, and knitting needles. All store purchases made during class time frame are eligible for a 10% discount.
