Do you look at two-color Brioche patterns and think, “I wish I could do that”? Well, you can! Learn to master the basic skills of Brioche Knitting and start to create your own visual and textural masterpieces.
In this two-session class, we’ll explore knitting two-color Brioche by working on the “Empire Bluff Cowl”. Working on this cowl, we’ll dive into the construction of two-color brioche, the basic “rib” stitch, increases and decreases that will allow us to create a quick-knit cowl with fun design.
Students will spend some time practicing brioche techniques on scrap yarn, before moving into our cowl pattern.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS:
This class is for INTERMEDIATE knitters. Students must be confident to knit, purl, cast on, cast off and have basic pattern reading skills. Experience with single-color brioche knitting will be helpful, but not necessary.
