Yarn Citizen Harmony DK

Every year, mills end up with thousands of pounds of leftover, high quality ends from the yarn they spin and dye for their various exporters around the world. These otherwise luxurious leftovers could easily get bundled together and thrown away. In an effort to save them from landfills, and to close the gap between high quality yarn and accessible pricing, these wool and alpaca pieces are spun into a new yarn, giving them a second life and creating what we know today as Yarn Citizen.

Harmony DK is a perfect blend of 50% wool and 50% alpaca, non-superwash (to reduce water waste!), and sourced from animals born and bred in the highlands of Peru. 

With sustainability at its core, these yarns are priced consciously, too. Yarn Citizen believes that something good for the planet  doesnt have to be bad for your wallet (and we say that's a win, win, WIN!)

Fiber Content:  50% Camelid - Alpaca, 50% Wool

Gauge: Heavy DK; 21-24 sts per 4 inches on US 5-7 needles
