Granite Mountain Fiber Co. creates hand-dyed yarn and thoughtfully crafted accessories for the fiber arts community, including stitch markers, notion bags, and hand balm. Each piece draws inspiration from the beauty of nature and the landscapes of America’s National Parks, celebrating the spirit of exploration that so often accompanies making by hand.

The yarns are dyed in small batches with an emphasis on rich, saturated color and earthy, grounded tones. Rather than chasing trends, these palettes are designed to feel timeless and enduring. As with all hand-dyed yarn, gentle variations from skein to skein are part of the process, giving each one its own character while still working beautifully together for larger projects.

Granite Mountain Fiber Co. was founded by Gabby, whose love of fiber began at the age of eight when her grandmother first taught her to knit. Though the craft came and went over the years, she rediscovered crochet in 2016 while in graduate school—and this time, it stuck. What began as a passion for crocheting (and later knitting again) soon grew into dyeing yarn, designing patterns, and creating handmade stitch markers. From that creative spark, Granite Mountain Fiber Co. was born.
